Follow these labeling tips and your labels won't ever fall off.

Stock your labels at room temperature

It is best to store the label stock at room temperature (21°C) before attempting to apply. Below this temperature the glue becomes too firm to bond easily. Temperatures that are too hot cause the adhesive to leak. In other words, the temperature is important to maximize the performance of the labels' adhesive.

Clean the surface

Before sticking the labels, you should check the surface thoroughly. It must be cleaned and dried. Make sure there is no dust, oil, grease or rust on the surface before sticking the label. Clean the surface with an industrial polish or isopropyl alcohol (cleaning alcohol) to make sure the adhesive can bond properly.

Apply pressure and do not touch the glue

To make sure that the adhesive makes sufficient contact with the surface you need to apply pressure. This increases the chance of good adhesion. If the surface is too sensitive to apply a lot of pressure you can heat up the surface. The glue will flow more easily on a warmer surface. Be careful and do not to touch the adhesive when removing the label from the liner. This prevents dust and dirt from entering the adhesive.

ultra-aggressive label adhesive

"The adhesive adheres up to 24 hours after the first contact"

For thin labels (0.127mm and thinner)

Apply the label to the surface with firm thumb pressure, starting from one side of the label and moving across the label to eliminate air behind the adhesive. When using a roller, choose the softest roller possible and do not apply excessive pressure. Repeat the process with firm pressure two or three times to ensure 100% contact of the adhesive with the surface. In this situation, "more is better". More contact gives a higher direct bond. This allows the adhesive to flow into the cracks and crevices of a substrate, achieving closer contact between the adhesive and the surface.

For thick labels (0.304mm and thicker)

Apply the labels to the surface with a rolling motion to exclude air from behind the adhesive. Use a soft roller or a clean cloth to press down firmly on the labels to ensure 100% contact of the adhesive with the surface. More unrolling provides a higher immediate adhesion. This allows the adhesive to flow into the cracks and crevices, achieving closer contact between the adhesive and the surface.
